This
academy
prepares
students
for
work
in
mass
media
and
communications.
They
are
exposed
to a
variety
of
experiences
ranging
from
participating
in
seminars
and
competitions
at
the
local,
state,
and
national
levels
to
contributing
to
the
production
of
student
publications
such
as
broadcast,
newspaper,
and
yearbook.
Students
are
also
eligible
to
participate
in
an
internship
in
the
field
of
journalism.
Students
participating
in
the
World
Language
major
will
have
the
opportunity
to
be
exposed
to a
variety
of
languages
and
cultures
such
as
Chinese,
French,
German,
Italian,
and
Spanish
that
can
be
utilized
in
building
a
foundation
the
field
of
communications.
Film
Studies
exposes
students
to
the
analysis
of
film
styles
while
providing
students
the
opportunity
of
transferring
this
knowledge
into
creating
their
own
films.
