AIDS / HIV

The HIV/AIDS Peer Educators consists of students that have been certified and licensed by the Miami Dade County Public Schools HIV/AIDS Education program to teach about HIV/AIDS. These licensed student educators create interactive presentations to teach their peers about reducing high risk activities. They also encourage them to make healthy behavior choices. The goals of the peer educators are to increase knowledge and awareness of HIV/AIDS, empower students with the skill building knowledge to make better health choices, and to improve peer relations while becoming active members in the HIV/AIDS community. In order to become a certified peer educator students must attend a one day course and pass the certification exam.

We are guided by these three main points from the second article of the club constitution which members must fallow in order to prosper and really contribute to the community and ultimately become official active members of this great Circolo Italiano.
