Computer
Use
Currently, there are fifty computers for student use in the media center. Our media center has numerous on-line services accessible from its home page, in addition to search engines and career planning links. The following are the policies regarding student use of media center computers:
- Students must "checkout" computers at the circulation desk.
- The "computer checkout" card must be
visibly displayed on the computer that is checked out.
The student is responsible for all activity at a computer will it is checked out to him/her.
- When finished, students "check in" their computers by
returning the card to the circulation desk.
- When using the Internet, the following policies and
restrictions apply to all students:
- No sexually explicit, obscene or otherwise inappropriate web sites.
- No game sites.
- No accessing e-mail accounts (but you MAY
send e-mail to your account from school-owned
programs).
- No chat rooms.
Students violating any of these policies will lose their computer privileges for two weeks. Serious or repeated violations will result in disciplinary action and the loss of computer privileges for the entire school year. By signing Coral Gables Senior High's Acceptable
Use Policy Agreement, students agree to abide by Miami-Dade County Schools'
Acceptable Use
