Checkout
The media center has a variety of
materials available for checkout. The following are the policies
regarding checkout:
- Students
must have their I.D.s to check out
materials.
- Books are
checked out for ten school days, software is
overnight only.
- Students
may check out a maximum of five books, no
more than two books on the same topic.
- The fine
for overdue books is five cents per day per
book.
- A fine of
50 cents is applied for each missing
date due card.
- Reference
materials may not be checked out.
Computer
Use
Currently, there are twenty computers for student use in the media center and an additional twenty-two computers in the C-LINCS room. Our media center has numerous on-line services accessible from its home page, in addition to search engines and career planning links. The following are the policies regarding student use of media center computers:
- Students must "checkout" computers at the circulation desk.
- The "computer checkout" card must be
visibly displayed on the computer that is checked out.
The student is responsible for all activity at a computer will it is checked out to him/her.
- When finished, students "check in" their computers by
returning the card to the circulation desk.

When using the Internet, the following policies and
restrictions apply to all students:

No sexually explicit, obscene or otherwise inappropriate web sites.
- No game sites.
- No accessing e-mail accounts (but you MAY
send e-mail to your account from school-owned
programs).
- No chat rooms.
Students violating any of these policies will lose their computer privileges for two weeks. Serious or repeated violations will result in disciplinary action and the loss of computer privileges for the entire school year. By signing Coral Gables Senior High's Acceptable

Acceptable Use
Policy, as well as Coral Gables Senior High policy.

Fees
for Services
Photocopies are ten cents each. The photocopier is coin operated.

per page for black & white and seventy-five cents
per page for color. The printing system is also
